Professional Master´s Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching (CAPES 4)

The Professional Master's Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching aims at training human resources at the graduate level, enabling the critical incorporation of scientific and technological heritage, therefore generating a high level of professional qualification.

Thus, the course proposes a training focused on the idea of ​​the global system of Education, Science and Technology, where the focal point lies on an integrative approach of interdisciplinary knowledge, aiming at a collaborative learning and production environment for the inception of innovations in the teaching- learning. Linked to this, are also part of the training of future students and masters in Science Teaching, to know and to disseminate scientific knowledge as a human construction and as a product of a socio-historical process that has ethical-political implications. Therefore, it aims at integrating school science knowledge with actions that promote local and regional development.

Activities: The course activities are concentrated on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the Duque de Caxias Campus (in person and/or virtualized).

Teachers from the Municipality of Duque de Caxias can apply for a 100% scholarship.
