Concentration Areas

Organizational Management
Start: 01/2017

Due to changes caused by the information age, as well as by the economic and productive globalization, increasing levels of complexity are required by organizational structures and processes in order to guarantee competitiveness in an environment of fierce and growing competition, both for conquering new markets and, above all, for surviving. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative products and services, with quality and low costs. Thus, it is important to reexamine the current theories about organizations for the adoption of technological and organizational innovations, and to study new business strategies and, therefore, the forms of organizational management.

Organizational Management focuses on studies on policies, procedures and artifacts that interact, through the management activities of organizations, in order to aggregate innovation, development and sustainability to its economic, social and environmental dimensions. Their instrumental theoretical and methodological approaches recognize the organization-society-individual interactions in the creation and sharing of value and citizenship.
